Does anyone know Wayne Gorham or Millard Martin who served in the 10th Armored Division? I know that they were both in Garmisch in May, 1945 and am trying to determine their battalion and company. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Howard

Hello. I am happy to have come across this website. My Grandpa was in the 419th Armored Field Artillery Battalion. His name is Kermit Watkins. Recently, I was reminiscing through photos of the family with my Grandma and I came across a couple of photo albums filled with photos from the war. I have no idea what battery he was in, I will have to remember to ask him. Anyway, I would love to hear anything that anyone knows. I am in the process of scanning all of these photos onto my computer and I hope I can share some. There are a lot of other soldiers in the photos and I would love to know who they are. I will get as much info about them from my grandparents as possible, also. Thank you all for reading my post. I hope I can contribute to this website. I am very interested in WWII history, particularly my Grandpa's story.

I would like to correspond with anyone who knew Cpl. John Brandt, HQ Battery, 419th Armored Field Artillery Battalion. Other names associated with Cpl Brandt are Glen Head, Charles Pluekebann, Jim Morrison, George Wheatley, Jim Baston, Elvin Stiles, Ralph Long, and Ralph Wheeler.

Thanks.

My first cousin was Gilbert E Green. He was in the 3rd Armored Division, and I believe the 36th Infantry. He was a decorated Medic in WWII. Basic training at Camp Polk. I am hoping to be able to place his name of honor with his unit.

My father was Lt. Arthur Young and served in the 809 tank destroyer battalion, Co. B. He died three weeks ago and I have scads of pictures with the ID's of the subjects from his battalian. I am trying to locate family of Sgt. Roberts who is buried in Margraten Holland. I have pictures of Sgt. Roberts and some letters regarding his service. I have info about Sgts. Russo, Hall, Rizzo, Karl Pitts and several others in the 809th. I will send them to family members.
